Each topic is covered in pages, with extensive scriptural references for further study. Concise and Readable Packer does a great job of summarizing reformed theological ideas and presenting them in a way that the average person can find understandable and digestible. Despite how very long it took me to read, I really loved this book. Very nice, I was so excited about the order that I called friends and let them know about the bargains I got and recommended the items because the prices were great.

This is sound theology for anyone at a college level or higher to read. Not sure why precisely — I don’t always find theology gripping.

By the very nature of the book, theolgy reads more like an encyclopedia that a proper book, and is therefore not a particularly exciting read, even though the topics should be. This book gives a thorough answer to that question. Packer has done the work elsewhere to draw the conclusions he draws here. I have many systematic theology volumes in my library, nearly all of which go in to far greater detail. It is spectacular in its simplicity and in its fidelity to Scripture.
